New Delhi: The Supreme Court will decide today whether Chief Minister of National Capital Delhi Arvind Kejriwal will get relief or not. Let us tell you that Kejriwal is in jail for the last one month in the liquor scam case. According to ED sources, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) may file a supplementary charge sheet in the Delhi liquor scam case on Friday. But just before this, Kejriwal’s legal team on Thursday raised objection to the ED’s affidavit in the Supreme Court against his interim bail.
Arvind Kejriwal’s team has issued a statement informing that a formal complaint in this regard has been lodged in the Supreme Court registry. Describing the ED affidavit as a gross disregard of legal procedures, the statement said that the affidavit was filed without the permission of the Supreme Court and was issued at a time when the final hearing of the matter is to be held in the apex court on Friday.

It is known that before this, ED on Thursday lodged a protest in the Supreme Court through an affidavit on the issue of interim bail of Kejriwal in the money laundering case related to the alleged excise policy scam and said that the right to campaign in elections is neither a fundamental right nor Only constitutional. This affidavit was filed at a time when the Supreme Court will give its verdict on the issue of Kejriwal’s interim bail on Friday.
What did ED say in its affidavit?
In a new affidavit filed in the Supreme Court, the ED said that there are many examples where politicians contested elections while in judicial custody and some even won, but were never granted interim bail for election campaigning. ED said that ‘No leader has been granted interim bail for election campaign, even if he is not contesting the election. Even if a contesting candidate is in custody, he is not given interim bail even for his own campaign. (with language input)
