Traders are pretending to increase the price of oil due to war, soyabean oil prices have increased by Rs 40 per kg during the war days. The administration raided an oil firm in the city on Friday amid continuous complaints. This action was taken by the administration official as a customer. SDM Arvind Chauhan told that at the firm of M/s Dwarkadas Chellaram of the city, a person was sent as a customer who bought one kg of oil pouches. In which the oil trader sold 3 rupees more expensive than MRP 150 rupees. After which the administration team registered a case against the businessman and fined it. Explain that the demand and supply of edible oil in the city is normal, despite this the prices have increased. Wholesalers say that due to turmoil in major markets of Maharashtra, Delhi and West Bengal, prices of edible oils are increasing in many districts including Khandwa. Wholesalers of edible oil said that at the beginning of the week soybean oil was being sold at Rs 120 per kg, but now the same oil has become Rs 170 per kg.

Mustard oil has started becoming expensive again after the attack in Ukraine. Mustard oil is currently being sold in the market for Rs 180 to 200 per kg.

Black marketing and profiteering of oil is also happening fiercely. Chiller vendors also doubled the price after the wholesalers increased the rates. Even after the wholesale price of soybean oil was Rs 150, the market shops earned more by Rs 10-20 per liter. Seeing the war as an opportunity, some vendors are also hoarding. After the action of the SDM on the firm of M/s Dwarkadas Chellaram of the city, there was a stir in the market, after which the price of oil started falling at many shops in the market.
