Sanjay Nirupam and Uddhav Thackeray.
Mumbai: Former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Wednesday targeted BJP while addressing the Mumbai workers of Shiv Sena (UBT). On this occasion, while speaking on the state’s Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis, Uddhav said that ‘Fadnavis had hatched a conspiracy to put me and Aditya in jail. Now either you (Fadnavis) will stay or I will stay.’ However, later Uddhav Thackeray said that I never challenged Fadnavis, I challenged BJP. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam has targeted Thackeray over this statement.
‘The so-called heir turned his back in 48 hours’
Sanjay Nirupam took a dig at Uddhav Thackeray and wrote on X, ‘Shiv Sena chief Balasaheb Thackeray used to stick to his words throughout his life. Balasaheb’s so-called heir changed his stance within 48 hours. He had challenged in Mumbai’s Rangsharda Hall that either you will stay or I will. He had given this challenge to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Today in Pune, he changed his stance. Either out of fear or in a ‘forgive me for my mistake’ style. He has clarified his Mumbai speech by saying that I had threatened BJP, not Fadnavis. Even a monkey does not change his stance so quickly.’
‘He can never be Balasaheb’s heir’
Targeting Uddhav, Sanjay Nirupam said, ‘If someone makes him listen to his Mumbai speech, his lies will be exposed. Today it has become clear again that ‘he’ can never be the real heir of Balasaheb.’ Let us tell you that Fadnavis had also hit back at Uddhav’s statement and said that Uddhav Thackeray’s mental balance has deteriorated. He said that if someone loses his balance in frustration and talks nonsense, no one answers him. For the last few days, there has been a lot of political rhetoric in Maharashtra and both the factions are targeting each other.
