Chandigarh Administration imposed ESMA against the strike of electricity workers. After this the police have placed some employee leaders under house arrest. Apart from Subhash Lamba, some other leaders including the head of UT Power Union have also been detained by the police. He was kept at Sood Dharamshala in Sector 22.
According to the information, talks are going on with the administration along with other employee leaders including Dhyan Singh, President of Subhash Lamba UT Power Men Union and General Secretary Gopal Dutt Joshi. Police vehicles and a large number of police personnel are deployed on the spot. Electricity has not yet come in many areas due to the strike. While electricity and water supply has been restored in some areas.
