Indigo Airlines flight from Sharjah to Hyderabad had to make an emergency landing in Karachi. The crew took this decision due to a technical snag. However, this is the second incident in two weeks when Pakistan had to seek any help due to a fault in an aircraft. The government says that people present in Pakistan are being brought back through another flight.
The engine of this aircraft going from Sharjah city of United Arab Emirates to Hyderabad had failed. The pilot sought permission from Pakistan for emergency landing. After this the passenger plane was allowed to land in Karachi. Pakistani engineers are trying to correct the fault in this plane. Karachi airport officials have confirmed the landing of the Indian plane.
Indigo Airlines said that the plane was diverted to Karachi city of Pakistan as a precautionary measure. An additional flight is being sent to Karachi to bring the passengers to Hyderabad. All the passengers in the incident are said to be safe.
This is the second Indian flight in two weeks to land in Karachi. Earlier, the SpiceJet flight had to make an emergency landing at this airport. On July 5, a SpiceJet flight made an emergency landing in Pakistan’s port city of Karachi. The plane was landed at Karachi airport due to a technical snag in the plane.
SpiceJet aircraft SG-11 was going from Delhi to Dubai. According to SpiceJet, when the Boeing 737 MAX aircraft was in the air, there was a decrease in the amount of fuel in the left tank of the aircraft. Thereafter the aircraft was diverted towards Karachi. Passengers sat in Pakistan for several hours.
