Soon after the assembly elections, the enthusiasm for the Legislative Council elections in UP has intensified. March 21 is the last date for nominations for elections for 36 seats in the Legislative Council. BJP can release the list of its candidates today.
Three names were sought from the panel
With the assembly elections over, the BJP had started preparations for the election of 36 seats in the local body area quota of the Legislative Council. Panels of three names each were sought for all the 36 seats. The party can release its list of candidates today. There is a plan to reach every voter with the help of Holi Milan for election campaign. Votes will be sought by applying saffron gulal on the cheeks of the heads of BDCs and feeding Holi gujiyas.
Holi meeting will be held in all assembly constituencies
Enthused by the thumping majority in the power of the state, the saffron camp is now trying to get a majority in the Legislative Council. The nomination process for the elections to be held on 36 seats under the local body quota is starting from March 15. In the meeting held regarding candidate selection and election preparation, Swatantradev Singh congratulated everyone for the victory and said that the way the assembly elections have been won, the Legislative Council elections have to be won in the same way. Along with focusing on the voter list, Holi meeting has been asked to be organized in all the assembly constituencies.
