Advocate Harishankar Jain
After taking oath as MP, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi raised the slogan ‘Jai Palestine’ in the Lok Sabha, which has created a ruckus. After this, there is a demand to disqualify him from the Lok Sabha. Supreme Court lawyers Harishankar Jain and Vishnu Shankar Jain have complained about this to President Draupadi Murmu. They have written a letter to the President and requested to disqualify Owaisi. Talking to India TV about this, Senior Advocate Harishankar Jain said that yesterday such an incident happened which happened for the first time in Indian history, a slogan was raised by saying Jai about a foreign country.
He said, “It is a very important question that how can a person living in the country show his dedication towards another country. It is clearly written in Article 102 of the Constitution that if a person is associated with or supports any foreign state, then he is ineligible for a constitutional post, i.e. as a member of Parliament. This has been made for this reason. When you are going to take up a post in a country, there should not be any kind of involvement in a foreign country, because you do not know what kind of relationship you will have with this country or any other country in the future, so you have to be dedicated and loyal only to India.
Advocate Harishankar Jain said that the slogan of Jai Palestine proves that there is a big international conspiracy behind it. The slogan given immediately after the oath in the Parliament proves that your entire loyalty is towards Palestine and this makes you ineligible, so keeping this in mind, I have written all these things and complained to the President and requested him to take a decision on this by seeking a report from the Election Commission under Article 103.
“Trying to prove he is a Muslim leader”
He said that the fact is that Owaisi is trying to prove himself as a Muslim leader all over the world and is trying to become the Jinnah of the country. We will suppress this tendency. Regarding Asaduddin Owaisi’s clarification on this, he said that every person who commits a crime calls himself right. If we are in support of Palestine, then a large section of the country is standing with Israel today. In such a situation, discussions will start here about other countries. We do not want this country to become a battle ground for Palestine VS Israel. We do not want the fight between Hamas and Mossad to come here as well. For the sovereignty and security of the country, it is important that such things are not said.
“The question is whether there is less loyalty towards this country”
He said that Owaisi wants to become the Muslim leader of the world. Be it barristership or studies, ambitions grow a lot, in such a situation one can sacrifice anything. He wants that Muslimphobia be spread in the entire country and Palestine and all the Muslim countries should have an influence in the country, so it is important that a decision is taken on this. When he was asked that there were many MPs who said Jai Shri Krishna, Jai Shri Ram and Bareilly MP also said Jai Hindu Rashtra. On this he said that Owaisi said Jai Telangana, there is no problem, he said Allah Hu Akbar, there is no objection, although he should not have said it. Saying Jai Krishna does not prove that there is loyalty towards another country. Here the question is that your loyalty towards India i.e. this country is less. He is bringing Jinnahism in the country. I hope justice will be done in this.
