New Delhi. The proposal of the Election Commission delimiting the assembly seats in Jammu and Kashmir is not acceptable to the opposition parties. The commission has proposed to set up 6 additional seats in Jammu. Apart from this, there is talk of increasing one seat in Kashmir as well. At the same time, the Delimitation Commission has also proposed reservation of 16 seats. The resolution said that out of these seats, 9 seats would be reserved for the tribal communities and 7 for the depressed classes. At the same time, there has been a ruckus on these recommendations of the Delimitation Commission. This has angered the opposition parties, with the National Conference refusing to sign the Delimitation Commission report.
While the PDP has also objected to the commission’s report. PDP says that the commission is working on the behest of BJP.
National Conference took this decision
Let us inform that Farooq Abdullah, who attended the meeting of the Delimitation Commission for the first time, and other leaders of the National Conference have expressed objection to the report. The spokesperson of the National Conference said that there has been partiality in the matter of deciding the seats. Along with this, he told that the party has decided not to sign the report.

Opposition objected to the report of the Delimitation Commission
Along with this, JK Apni Party and People’s Conference, which are close to the BJP, have also lodged an objection regarding the proposed electoral map of Jammu and Kashmir. Let us inform that at present there are 46 seats in Kashmir, while there are 37 seats in Jammu. Now according to the new proposal of the Delimitation Commission, there will be 43 seats in Jammu, while in Kashmir this figure will reach 47.

Union Minister gave information
Union Minister Jitendra Singh says that everyone agrees on this report. The Union Minister said that Abdullah had said in the meeting that we were given wrong information about the Delimitation Commission, while the commission has done a very good job. The commission has now decided to increase the number of seats in Jammu and Kashmir to 90. In which these recommendations have been given keeping in mind the population, geography of the districts as well as social balance.
