Criminals are at their peak in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. After day-to-day robbery and snatching, an incident of daylight robbery has come to light in Punjab National Bank (PNB) located in Noor Nagar area of Sihani Gate Kotwali.
According to the information, in Noor Nagar, Ghaziabad, at around 1.30 pm, four masked miscreants started the robbery of Rs 10 lakh at the gun point in the PNB bank branch. Due to the bank’s server being down at the time of the incident, there were very few customers present in the bank.

Meanwhile, four masked men entered the PNB bank and robbed the cashier by threatening the cashier with the help of weapons. It is being told that no security guard was present in the bank during the incident. It has not even been 24 hours since the new police captain took charge of the district, that such a big incident has exposed the law and order situation in the city.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and forensic team reached the bank and started investigation into the incident. Police officers are also scrutinizing CCTV footage along with gathering information after interacting with bank staff. The incident of this bank robbery, which took place inside the middle of the city in broad daylight, has created a stir in the area.
SSP charge to LR Kumar
To handle the law and order situation in Ghaziabad, DIG LR Kumar, posted in Vigilance Establishment, has been sent to Ghaziabad. On Friday night, he came to Ghaziabad and took charge. The government had suspended Ghaziabad SSP Pawan Kumar on Thursday.
The DGP Headquarters has ordered DIG LR Kumar of Uttar Pradesh Vigilance Establishment (Vigilance) to take over the charge of Ghaziabad SSP till further orders.
