Harmanpreet Singh opened the team’s account first for India by scoring a goal in the second minute and after that Jugraj, playing his second international match, successfully converted two consecutive penalty corners. He first scored in the fourth minute and then scored his second goal in the sixth minute. Jugraj did not stop here and scored his third goal in the 23rd minute.
Apart from Jugraj, Gursahibjit Singh (24th, 36th), Dilpreet Singh (25th, 58th) and Mandeep Singh (27th) scored. The Indian team completely dominated South Africa and scored a total of 12 penalty corners in the match.
Daniel Bell (44th) and Richard Potts (45th) scored for South Africa.
