Share Market Outlook : After the huge fall in the market on Monday, America’s legendary investor Jim Rogers has said that he has collected a lot of cash, because the next recession will be very bad. In such a situation, he will make good money by investing in that recession. Rogers said, “A big problem has been standing on the threshold of America and the world for a long time. I have a lot of cash, because I expect the next sell-off to be the worst of my life, because debt has increased a lot everywhere. India also has debt now. So, you should be worried. I am worried. I am waiting for this fall, because I know it is going to be very bad. Maybe it has come. I don’t know.”

Investors should increase cash in their portfolio

According to an ET report, when asked if investors should consider increasing cash in their portfolios, he said yes they should keep more cash. “Things have been so good for so long everywhere. Always in history when everybody is making a lot of money, it’s a time of worry. So, I am worried,” he said. He said that if he had to buy something, he would buy silver.

Warren Buffett has raised a lot of cash

Just last week, news came that Berkshire Hathaway’s Warren Buffett’s cash holdings had risen to about $277 billion after he sold nearly half of his stake in Apple. The cash holdings rose to $276.9 billion as of June 30, from $189 billion three months earlier. The main reason for this was that Berkshire made a net sale of shares worth $75.5 billion. This was the seventh consecutive quarter when Berkshire sold more shares than it bought. Disappointing job data in the US and a rise in the yen have raised fears of a slowdown in the US economy, which has worried investors all over the world.

Indian market will also not remain untouched

Hemant Mishra, Co-founder and CIO, S Cube Capital said, “Tensions are rising in the Middle East. Iran-Israel are intent on war. This will impact all risk assets, including EM, unless central banks step in to prevent a rout. Indian markets, though fundamentally strong, will not be left isolated as investors will look to book profits to fund their global losses.”
