New Delhi. This will be the first time in Bengal that tomorrow will be a government holiday on the occasion of Ram Navami. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had issued a notification in this regard in March itself. All schools, colleges and government offices will remain closed tomorrow in the state. In Bengal, the festivals of Durga Puja and Kali Puja are celebrated on a large scale. Apart from this, there is a public holiday on many other festivals, but there was never a holiday on Ram Navami nor was permission given to take out processions. BJP has always been attacking the Trinamool government and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on this matter.
Mamata Banerjee has never been heard raising the slogan of Jai Shri Ram, rather Mamata gets angry at those who raise the slogan of Jai Shri Ram. Then what happened suddenly that Mamata Banerjee was forced to declare a public holiday on Ram Navami? After all, what is the reason for this change of heart of Mamata Banerjee? Has Mamata Banerjee made this announcement to woo Hindu voters in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections? Well, whether Mamata Banerjee has taken this decision keeping the elections in mind or she has actually had a change of heart towards Shri Ram, in both the cases the Ram devotees are happy with this decision of Mamata.

Earlier today, Prime Minister Modi, while addressing a rally in Raiganj, West Bengal, targeted Mamata Banerjee. PM said that the law does not decide what will be allowed and what will not be allowed in TMC’s Bengal, it is decided by the goons of TMC. PM said, Shobha Yatra is not allowed for Ram Navami in Bengal. For this the devotees have to knock the doors of the court. But TMC has given full permission to those who pelted stones during the procession of Ram Navami and Durga Puja.
