He expressed strong displeasure over the alleged derogatory remarks made by YSRCP members against Chandra Babu Naidu and his wife in the Assembly during the debate on women empowerment on the second day of the winter session of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
Not only this, he announced that he would not enter the assembly for the remainder of the present term to protest against the humiliation being humiliated by the members of the ruling YSR Congress Party.
He said, ‘I will not attend this meeting after this. I will return to the House only after becoming the Chief Minister again.” Naidu looked very emotional before leaving the assembly. There were tears in his eyes. He had folded his hand.
Later, while addressing a press conference at TDP’s state headquarters in Mangalagiri, 71-year-old Naidu burst into tears. He was crying continuously covering his face with his hands.
My wife was away from politics then insulted her
Naidu said, “My wife has never been in politics. Apart from encouraging me at every step of my life, whether I am in power or outside, he has never interfered in politics. Still, he tried to humiliate my wife.
The TDP chief said, “Never felt so much pain in 40 years of political life. ‘I faced many struggles, ups and downs in my life. I saw many heated debates in the assembly, both in the ruling party and the opposition. But crushing the opposition like this is unprecedented.
Compare with Kaurava Sabha
Naidu compared the present gathering to the Kaurava Sabha of the epic Mahabharata, where the mighty Kauravas insulted the Pandavas’ wife Draupadi by trying to make her appear in front of everyone.
“I will take my fight to the people and seek their support,” Naidu said. I will return to the assembly only after getting people’s mandate as chief minister.
It all started with a war of words between TDP and YSRCP members over a discussion on women empowerment.
