How much voting took place in the field of four ministers of Yogi government?
1. Ashutosh Tandon : Yogi government’s strong minister Ashutosh Tandon contested from Lucknow East seat of capital Lucknow. Ashutosh is the son of Lalji Tandon, one of the big leaders of BJP. The Samajwadi Party had fielded Anurag Bhadauria against Ashutosh. Anurag is also the national spokesperson of the Samajwadi Party. BSP has fielded Ashish Kumar Sinha and Congress has fielded Manoj Tiwari. Ashutosh Tandon had won this seat last time. 53.44% votes have been cast in this seat till 5 pm. Last time 53.95% of the people had cast their vote here. It is expected that after the release of the final figures by the Election Commission, the voting percentage of this time will also increase.
2. Brijesh Pathak: Yogi government’s Law Minister Brijesh Pathak contested from the Cantt assembly seat of Lucknow, the capital of the state. Brijesh had won the election from Lucknow Central last time. This time his seat was changed by BJP. Against Brijesh, Samajwadi Party had fielded Surendra Singh Gandhi, BSP Anil Pandey and Congress had fielded Dilpreet Singh. In 2017 this seat was won by Dr. Rita Bahuguna Joshi for BJP. 3. Ranvendra Pratap Singh : This time BJP had fielded Minister of State for Agriculture Ranvendra Pratap Singh alias Dhunni Bhaiya in the Yogi government from Hussainganj seat of Fatehpur. Ranvendra has been elected MLA from this seat last time also. Samajwadi Party had given ticket to Usha Maurya, Bahujan Samaj Party to Farid Ahmed and Congress to Shivakant for the siege against Yogi’s minister. This time 57.80% people have cast their vote in this seat. Last time there was 61.25% voting here.
4. Jai Kumar Jackie : Jai Kumar Singh Jackie, the jail minister in the Yogi government, contested from Bindki seat of Fatehpur. Jackie was in the fray on the ticket of Apna Dal (Sonelal) of BJP. Samajwadi Party gave ticket to Rameshchar Dayal, BSP Sushil Kumar and Congress Abhimanyu Singh against Jackie. In 2017, this seat was in the account of BJP. Then Karan Singh Patel was elected MLA from here. This time 60.50% people have cast their votes till 5 pm. Last time there was 61.25% voting.
Rajeshwar Singh Vs Abhishek Mishra: Former ED Joint Director Rajeshwar Singh contested from Sarojini Nagar seat in Lucknow on a BJP ticket. In this seat, former minister Abhishek Mishra, close to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, was the SP candidate. In 2017, Swati Singh of BJP had won from Sarojini Nagar seat. Aditi Singh Vs Manish Chauhan: From Rae Bareli seat, which is called Congress stronghold, BJP had fielded rebel Congress MLA Aditi Singh this time.
