new Delhi. Oil marketing companies on Tuesday raised the prices of major transportation fuels for the 13th time in the last 15 days. As a result, in the last 15 days, petrol prices in the national capital have increased by Rs 9.40 per litre.
Petrol and diesel prices were increased by 80 paise per liter in New Delhi on Monday.
As per the pump prices, petrol is now Rs 104.61 per liter and diesel Rs 95.87 per liter in the national capital.
In the financial capital Mumbai, the prices of petrol and diesel have gone up to Rs 119.67 and Rs 103.92 per liter respectively.
In addition, the prices of both the transport fuels were hiked in Kolkata. The price of petrol increased to Rs 114.28 and diesel to Rs 99.02 per litre.
Its price was also increased in Chennai. There the price of petrol is now Rs 110.09 and that of diesel is Rs 100.18 per liter.
OMCs revise transportation fuel cost based on various factors such as rupee to US dollar exchange rate, cost of crude oil and fuel demand among others.
