Czech Republic’s leading automaker Skoda is going to introduce the facelift model of its famous SUV Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market tomorrow. After almost two years, once again this SUV is making a comeback in the Indian market. After the implementation of BS6 norms, the company stopped selling it.
This will be the first model from Skoda to be launched in the Indian market this year. This SUV is already present in the global market, the company will launch it with some new updates, which will see many changes from the design to the inside of the SUV. The company claims that the Skoda Kodiaq will be one of the best cars in its segment.
According to the information, the company has been given a new design front grille, LED daytime running lights, new bumper and new tail lamp, rear bumper at the rear. Its side profile has been kept same as before. But the changes made in the front and rear make its look quite different. Inside the SUV, there is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with dual tone cabin, which comes with a 10.25-inch digital driver display.
In terms of features, the company has got cooling and heating functions in the new Kodiaq as well as features like three-zone automatic climate control, 12 speaker canton speaker, ambient lighting. Skoda says that the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system will be given in the Kodiaq SUV. It adopts the damping characteristics of the SUV by adjusting the shock absorbers. This SUV will be offered with 5 driving modes. These include Eco, Normal, Sports, Snow and Individual.
The company has been given a 2.0-liter petrol engine in the Kodiaq SUV, which generates maximum power of 190 hp and torque of 320 Nm. This engine comes mated to a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) gearbox. Although it is difficult to say anything about its price before the launch, but experts believe that the company can launch it at a price of Rs 35 lakh.
