In Govindpuram C-Block of Mussoorie police station area of Ghaziabad, three miscreants who came on two bikes opened fire in broad daylight and looted 25 lakhs from the petrol pump employees. The miscreants easily escaped after carrying out the crime. On getting information about the incident, there was a stir in the police.
Top officials including SSP reached the spot and inquired about the incident. To trace the miscreants, the police are scanning the CCTV cameras installed around the spot.
Indian Oil has a petrol pump in Dasna of Mussoorie police station. Petrol pump employees Pappu Kumar Kamat and Sunny Shukla were going to deposit Rs 25 lakh cash for three days in HDFC Bank located in Govindpuram at around 1:30 pm on Monday. Petrol pump manager Ritesh Kumar and another employee Rishabh Sharma were following him on another bike. As soon as the employees reached Govindpuram B-Block, three masked miscreants who came on Splendor and Apache bikes stopped the bike of the employees carrying cash after overtaking and looted the bag full of cash.
On protesting, the miscreants spread panic by firing three rounds one after the other. Thereafter, the miscreants fled with the cash. After the incident, SSP Pawan Kumar, SP Rural Dr. Iraj Raja, ASP Sadar Akash Patel reached the spot along with the force.
SSP Pawan Kumar said that three miscreants have received information about looting Rs 25 lakh from petrol pump employees. Three rounds of bullets were also fired by the miscreants. Three teams, including the Crime Branch, have been formed to investigate the incident. CCTV cameras are being scanned to trace the miscreants.
