New Delhi. On one hand, Rahul Gandhi is going to make a ruckus through a rally against BJP and PM Narendra Modi at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi today. At the same time, senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, who left the Congress, is going to hold a big public meeting against his old party in Jammu today. Just before this public meeting, Ghulam Nabi gave a long interview to the TV channel ‘Times Now Navbharat’. In this, Ghulam Nabi Azad gave answers to all the questions, but the most important of them was on the current situation of the Congress. We are going to tell you what Ghulam Nabi said in this interview about the plight of Congress.
Ghulam Nabi, in response to a question, said that the condition of the Congress today, it started only after the assassination of Rajiv Gandhi. He said that Rajiv Gandhi used to run both the government and the party and used to take everyone along. After him PV Narasimha Rao was not interested in the organization. However, he remained a successful PM. Azad said that the condition of Congress started deteriorating since Rajiv ji. In the party during the era of Narasimha Rao and Sitaram Kesari, we used to raise questions and listen. After this the big problem started after the year 2014. Rahul Gandhi took the lead and took advice from senior leaders. For two years we sat silent and there was no work.

Ghulam Nabi Azad said that Rahul Gandhi had stopped meeting most of the Congress leaders for the last two years. When G-23 leaders wrote a letter, they were called BJP supporters. Rahul Gandhi though respected personally, but he should have thought that we worked with his parents. Azad raised the question that in the past many leaders including Jyotiraditya Scindia, Jitin Prasad, Sushmita Deb, Hardik Patel left the Congress, what was their fault? He said that the condition is that the spokespersons whom Rahul had kept also left the party. Ghulam Nabi said that I won 7 out of 8 elections for Congress as General Secretary. He also rubbished the allegation that he left the Congress due to not getting a Rajya Sabha seat. Azad again alleged that Rahul Gandhi is a fan of ji.
