In view of the Lok Sabha elections, there was doubt about the announcement of names of candidates by Congress for the Lok Sabha seats of Rae Bareli and Amethi. However, now the party has officially confirmed that Kishori Lal Sharma will contest from Amethi Lok Sabha seat, while Rahul Gandhi is going to contest Lok Sabha elections from Rae Bareli. Congress Party has officially confirmed this by releasing a list in this regard. Meanwhile, now BJP has opened its front regarding Rahul Gandhi contesting elections from Rae Bareli seat. Union Minister Giriraj Singh and BJP leader Manjinder Sirsa gave statements in this regard.
What did Manjinder Singh Sirsa say on Rahul Gandhi?
On Congress leader Rahul Gandhi contesting from Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat, BJP leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa said, “Rahul Gandhi is losing from Wayanad, hence he is contesting from Rae Bareli. First he accepted defeat from Amethi and ran away from the seat, Now leaving Wayanad, the situation has become such that no one is ready to contest the elections from Amethi, which was considered his family seat. No worker is ready to take the ticket. He (Rahul Gandhi) will have to face defeat from Rae Bareli also.
‘Rahul Gandhi is like Bahadur Shah Zafar’
In this regard, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said, “The Gandhi family does not go back to the place where it lost. Just like when Rahul Gandhi lost from Amethi, he left that seat, this time if he loses Rae Bareli too, he will also leave it. Just like Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last emperor of the Mughal Sultanate, Rae Bareli is like that for the Gandhi family.” He described Rahul Gandhi as the last king of the Gandhi family. Let us tell you that BJP has again given ticket to Union Minister Smriti Irani from Amethi. BJP has made Dinesh Pratap Singh its candidate from Rae Bareli.
