Goa-Manipur election results: Counting of votes will begin at 8 am today, results will be announced for 40 seats in Goa and 60 in Manipur
From February 10 to March 7, polling in all phases has been completed in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Manipur and Goa. Now all eyes are on the results to be released today. In Goa, the fate of 301 candidates for all 40 assembly seats has been imprisoned in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs). According to the Election Commission, a total voter turnout of 78.94 per cent has been recorded in Goa. Whereas elections were held in Manipur in two phases and by combining both the phases, 265 candidates had entered the fray to try their luck. In the last election i.e. 2017, both the states of Manipur and Goa had BJP government. This time in Goa, apart from Congress, BJP, TMC, AAP, Shiv Sena and NCP were in the fray, while in Manipur there is a contest between BJP and Congress.
