The rise in the dollar and US bond yields has affected the prices of gold. Silver was also quoting at $29.05 an ounce with a decline. In the last session, it closed at $29.30 an ounce.

On the MCX exchange, gold for delivery on August 5, 2024 was seen trading at Rs 71,900 per 10 grams on Friday evening with a gain of 1.07 percent or Rs 762. At the same time, silver for delivery on July 5, 2024 was seen trading at Rs 88,657 per kg with a gain of 0.77 percent or Rs 674.
