The new price of 22 carat gold fell from Rs 48,100 to Rs 350 per 10 grams on Saturday (June 4) to Rs 47,750. At the same time, the price of 24 carat gold fell by Rs 370 from Rs 52,470 to Rs 52,100. Jewelers ask customers to pay a fee in addition to the value of the gold used in making the jewellery. On the other hand, trading of 99.5 per cent pure standard gold closed at Rs 52,860 per 10 grams in Bengaluru on June 4. On the other hand, gold had closed at Rs 4916 per gram in Bangalore on Saturday.

Keep these precautions while buying gold
Before buying gold, customers should understand that gold is considered pure on the basis of how many carat units. 24 carat gold is 99.9 percent pure, while 23 carat gold is 95.8 percent. On the other hand, there is 91.6 percent gold in 22 carat and 75 percent gold in 18 carat.
