Meanwhile, on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the futures price of gold for the end of August 2022 ended at Rs 51,694 per 10 grams with a gain of 689 in yesterday’s session on Friday, June 10.

In the international markets also, there was volatility in the price of gold on Friday. There was again a jump in the price of gold in the futures market. The focus was on economic risks after bets for aggressive interest rate hikes followed a rise in US inflation readings, according to a Reuters report. Spot gold rose 1.4 percent to $1,873.58 an ounce at 2:40 p.m. EDT (1840 GMT), while US gold futures were up 1.2 percent to $1,875.50, the report said.
