Gold prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 30 to Rs 50,818 per 10 grams in the national capital. Due to this, the precious yellow metal had closed at Rs 50,788 per 10 grams in the previous trading day. On the other hand, silver also rose by Rs 133 to Rs 61,717 per kg from Rs 61,584 per kg in the previous trading day.
HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodities) Tapan Patel said spot gold prices rose by Rs 30 for 24 carat gold in Delhi, reflecting overnight rise in Comex gold prices. In the international market, gold was trading marginally lower at $ 1,848 an ounce and silver was trading flat at $ 22.02 an ounce.
