Keeping this in view, it has been decided to involve farmers in this as well.
The government will give priority to the suggestions of farmers in the budget. On Monday, talking to the farmers virtually, the Chief Minister sought suggestions for budget provision for the development of the agriculture sector. He said that whatever necessary suggestions of farmers will come, they will be studied and given prominence in the budget. Farmers, stakeholders related to agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries sector have been consulted before budget. Agriculture and Welfare Minister Jaiprakash Dalal and officers from all districts, farmers, HAU, Luwas and Vice Chancellor of Horticulture University participated in this meeting through virtual medium.
The Chief Minister said that keeping in mind the welfare of all sections, a better budget would be presented this time. In the budget, there will be more focus on topics like development of agriculture sector and increasing the income of farmers. New experiments are being done in the agriculture sector. Farmers will have to move forward with mutual cooperation, under which progressive farmers will cooperate and train other farmers to advance. Along with this, emphasis will also be laid on making arrangements like Farmers Welfare Fund and Sahyog Fund.
It is the endeavor of the government to create more and more FPOs to increase the income of the farmers. Apart from this, small industries like making jaggery and khand from crusher can also be set up in rural areas. This will bring farmers towards sugarcane production instead of crops like paddy. Efforts to set up processing units for various crops will also be promoted.

Farmers have given many good suggestions in this discussion. All necessary suggestions related to their departments will be listed and sent soon.
