Actually, Indian Oil Corporation will install charging stations at 1400 petrol pumps across the country. IOC has given the contract to the manufacturing company Jetwerk to install this charging station. Let us tell you that IOC had issued a tender for 6,000 chargers. 40 electric vehicle suppliers from across the country participated in it. Jetwerk has won the order from IOC through competitive bidding to install fast-charging chargers for electric vehicles across the country, the company said in a statement on Thursday.
Jetwerk gets the biggest order
More than 40 leading EV suppliers from across the country participated in this bid. Jetwerk said it has received the largest order from a public sector petroleum marketing company. The company’s business head (renewables) Abhay Adya said that these charging stations will be installed at IOC’s petrol pumps as per the need. By setting up these charging stations in major cities, we will be able to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles and lead the country towards an eco-friendly future. Under the contract, Jetwerk will install more than 1,400 EV chargers with capacities of 50-60 kW and 100-120 kW.
Will have DC dual gun charger
These will be DC Dual Gun CCS2 DC chargers, which will be able to charge two vehicles simultaneously through dynamic load-sharing mode. These charging stations will be installed at IOC outlets as per requirement and will provide uninterrupted charging. Indian Oil is actively investing in emerging trends in mobility such as electrical vehicles (EVs). As part of its long-term ESG goals, Indian Oil is pursuing its strong mission of empowering consumers to opt for clean energy solutions and reducing the cost of transportation along with its carbon footprint.
