In our practical life, we can understand the importance of technology only from the fact that we spend our days from the beginning of the morning till the night in the company of technology. There is no hesitation in saying that after food, clothing and shelter, the fourth need of human beings today is technology. We cannot imagine our life without technology, but some of its side effects are also seen, keeping in mind some provisions have now been made in the rules related to technology. In this report, we are going to tell you in detail about some such rules.
Under Section 66D of the Information Technology Act, 2000, a provision of 3 years’ imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh has been made for fraud using computer resources. At the same time, IT Intermediary Rules Rule 3(1)(b)(vii): Social media intermediary must comply with the rules and regulations, privacy policy or user agreement of the intermediary, including ensuring due diligence, users are not impersonating any other person. Whereas, Rule 3(2)(b): The arbitrator, within 24 hours of receiving the complaint in respect of any content. Forms in the nature of impersonation in electronic form, which involve artificially transformed images of such a person. Take all measures to remove such material or disable access to it.
