Smartphone Apps
Google has issued a warning for smartphone users. Users’ smartphones can be controlled through some apps installed in the phone and their bank accounts can be hacked. These days smartphones are not used only for making phone calls. Smartphones are being used for chatting, business meetings, banking etc. In such a situation, if your smartphone gets hacked, you may have to suffer huge losses.
These apps are breaking into your phone
Before Google, Facebook, Instagram and Whatsapp’s parent company Meta had claimed that hackers can break into users’ bank accounts with the help of editing apps present in smartphones. In its report, Meta had mentioned many such editing apps, which were not secure and were available on Google Play Store. Most of these were photo editing apps, which are used to enhance photos. Many users have downloaded these apps for social media uploads, which can prove to be very harmful.
Delete it from your phone immediately
Google’s report also issued a warning saying that there is a risk of sending malware to the phone through these photo editing apps. These apps are very harmful for users. However, Google has taken action and blocked these apps from the Play Store. However, many users have downloaded these apps on their smartphones. In such a situation, they should immediately delete these apps from their phones.
Keep these things in mind while installing the app
Security agencies often issue such warnings keeping in mind the safety of users. If you are also installing a new app on your phone, then first of all you should check the reliability of that app. Most of the genuine apps are verified by Google Play. However, many apps bypass the security of Google Play and appear genuine. In such a situation, users should avoid giving full access to any app installed on the phone. Do not give any permission to the apps in the device unless necessary. By doing this, it will be difficult for hackers to break into the smartphone.
