Computer Emergency Response Team, or CERT-In, an agency of the Government of India, keeps issuing alerts for laptop and smartphone users from time to time. Through these alerts, CERT-In warns users about the danger of malware attack or hacking in the system so that people can be protected from harm. Now a new alert has been issued by CERT-In regarding some specific devices.
The latest update of CERT-In has been released for both Android and iOS devices. CERT-In said that if you have old versions of iOS, iPadOS, macOS, visionOS then you need to be very careful. According to CERT-In, there is a risk of hacking on older versions of these OS.
In the alert issued by CERT-In, it was said that the bug has been found in iPhone 8 and later models, iPad (5th Gen and newer models), Mac laptop and desktop. According to the alert, users of iOS/iPadOS up to 16.7.7 may become victims of a bug and hackers may gain access to your device. - Apple iOS and iPadOS versions before 17.4.1
- Apple iOS and iPadOS versions before 16.7.7
- 1st, iPad Air 3rd and earlier with iPad 6th
According to the alert of CERT-In, the bug has been found in iOS devices as well as Android smartphones. If you have not updated your Android smartphone for a long time and are running on an OS earlier than Android 14, then this bug can be a big threat for you.
