Ramkrishna Paramhans Pandey, Jabalpur. Patients arriving for treatment in primary health centers will not have to wander from door to door for pathological tests. Doctors will not be able to refer them to community health centres, civil hospital or district hospital for tests. Instead of patients, now their samples will be sent to the Community Health Center for pathological examination. In fact, to ensure pathological testing facilities, the government has decided to develop government hospitals as a hub and spoke model. 324 health institutions across the state including Jabalpur are being developed as hubs and one thousand 610 institutions are being developed as spokes. A contract has been signed with a private company for this. In this way, a total of 45 types of pathology testing facilities will be available to the patients at the hub. Out of which 34 tests will be done by machines and 11 with rapid test kits. Similarly, patients will get the benefit of 52 types of pathology test facility in civil hospitals and 101 at district hospital level. Preparations are being made to set up eight hubs and 56 spoke centers in the district.
Company Installing Machine: Necessary machines are being installed by the company for pathological tests in hubs i.e. community health centers and civil hospitals. The machine is being installed at UPHC Manmohan Nagar. After which they will be established in Civil Hospital Ranjhi, Nayagaon, Community Health Center Kundam, Majhauli, Panagar, Patan, Shahpura. Fully Automated Biochemistry Analyzer, Automated Biochemistry Analyzer, Blood Cell Counter, Immunoassay Analyzer Machine will be installed at the Hub. After taking the form of this system, patients will be able to get the facility of pathology tests related to hormones and heart diseases at primary and community health centers and civil hospital level. Nodal officer Anand Shrivas said that the trial of the machine is going on in UPHC Manmohan Nagar.

After examining the patients by the medical officer, tests will be advised as per the requirement.
Samples will be taken as per the protocol prescribed by the lab technician, staff nurse posted on the spoke.
-11 types of tests will be done by rapid diagnostic kit.
Samples will be taken for 34 types of tests.
The said sample will be delivered to the hub for testing by the Sample Transportation Person (STP).
on hub-
The samples received by the STP from Spoke will be examined by the Lab Technician of the Health Department.
The report of the sample will be recorded in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) by the data entry operator.
SMS will be sent in three phases to the mobile of the patients through LIMS software. In which information about sample collection, final test report and re-testing of test samples as required will be given.
The final report from LIMS will be made available to the Lab Technician and Staff Nurse at the Spoke and to the Lab Technician and Data Entry Operator at the Hub.

Many government hospitals of Jabalpur have been selected in the Hub and Spoke model so that patients do not have to wander for pathological tests. The government has set a deadline of June 7 to fully operate the scheme.
