IND vs SL, Test Match: There is a big good news for the fans of Virat Kohli. BCCI has allowed the presence of spectators for the Mohali Test. Earlier, due to Corona infection and elections, spectators were not allowed to enter the stadium. But this is Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match and there was a lot of pressure from his fans that he should get a chance to watch this historic match. Anyway, before this, spectators were allowed in both the T20 matches held in Dharamsala. In view of this, BCCI said that it will not impose any restriction on the presence of spectators. Whatever the guidelines of the state government will be related to this, the board will follow it. That is, now up to 50 percent capacity of spectators will be allowed in the stadium.

News agency ANI quoted board secretary Jay Shah as saying that the state cricket association, in this case the Punjab Cricket Association, has agreed to let the spectators come. Shah said, “The first Test between India and Sri Lanka to be played at the Punjab Cricket Stadium in Mohali will not take place behind closed doors. The decision to allow spectators has been taken by the State Cricket Association. I have spoken to the PCA officials and they have confirmed that fans will be able to witness the historic achievement of Virat Kohli in his 100th Test match.”

There was opposition to the decision of BCCI
Earlier on February 27, the Punjab Cricket Association had announced that spectators would not be allowed for the Mohali Test. Then the PCA had told that in view of the danger of Corona, following the guidelines of the Indian Board, spectators would not be allowed for this Test match. However, 50 per cent of the spectators were being allowed for the day-night Test to be held in Bengaluru. In such a situation, Indian cricket fans fiercely criticized this decision of the board on all social media platforms. Now the board has reversed its decision and a large number of spectators will be able to watch Virat Kohli playing his 100th Test.
Let us tell you that the first match of the two-match Test series between India and Sri Lanka will be played in Mohali from Friday, March 4. With this, Virat Kohli will become the 12th Indian player to play 100 Test matches. It is expected that Kohli would also like to end the wait for his 71st century in this match.
