Orange Cap: Interesting matches are being played in the Indian Premier League. Sometimes centuries are scored in both the innings in the same match and sometimes teams are not able to cross even the 100-run mark. Not many runs were scored in the match played between Gujarat Titans and Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. Captain Shubman Gill also could not score runs for his team. But during his one short innings, he has left Mumbai’s Rohit Sharma behind in the race for the Orange Cap.
Virat Kohli still number one
Virat Kohli is the batsman who has scored the most runs in the league so far. He has scored 361 runs after playing 7 matches. Riyan Parag of Rajasthan Royals is close to him, but is still lagging behind. Riyan Parag has scored 318 runs in seven matches so far. Apart from these two batsmen, no one has been able to cross the 300 mark.
Sunil Narayan occupies third place
After Kohli and Parag, Sunil Narayan has come at number three. Who has scored 276 runs after playing 6 matches so far. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is in fourth place with 276 runs. Narayan and Sanju have equal runs, but Sunil has a better strike rate, so he is leading. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill has come at fifth position after leaving Rohit Sharma. He now has 263 runs in his name in 7 matches. Whereas Rohit Sharma has reached sixth position after scoring 261 runs in 6 matches.
Gill scored only 8 runs
Shubhman Gill scored only 8 runs against Delhi and returned to the pavilion after getting out. Even after that, no batsman could survive and bat. Only Rashid Khan managed to score 31 runs. Even after this the team could score only 89 runs and was out. After this, Delhi team won the match by scoring 92 runs at the loss of four wickets in 8.5 overs.
