The Central Government has exempted Indians being brought from Ukraine from providing RT-PCR test, corona vaccination certificate and uploading it on Air Suvidha Portal before boarding the plane. The Union Health Ministry said on Monday that the international travel guidelines have been reviewed and some exemptions have been provided on humanitarian grounds to citizens being brought from Ukraine.
The ministry said that Indians being evacuated from Ukraine will also not have to produce negative RT-PCR test reports or complete vaccination certificates before boarding the plane. Along with this, they have also been given relief from uploading these documents on Air Suvidha Portal before leaving for India.
It said that those who have completed the COVID-19 vaccination, those people have been allowed to go to their homes from the airport after advising them to self-monitor their health for the next 14 days. Also, if a passenger has not completed the RT-PCR test report or whose vaccination has not been completed, they have been allowed to leave at the airport on arrival in India, giving their sample and advising self-monitoring for 14 days.
The ministry said that whoever is found infected with COVID will have to follow the COVID protocol. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya also tweeted that the Health Ministry has reviewed the international travel advisory for Indians being evacuated from Ukraine and several relaxations have been provided to them.
