In Gujarat, the Congress has started preparations against the Bharatiya Janata Party. Now the party is going to issue a ‘chargesheet’ to enumerate the failures of the BJP in the state. All India Congress Committee’s Gujarat in-charge Raghu Sharma has given this information on Monday. He said that the party would issue these charge sheets in district wise and constituencies. Assembly elections may be held in Gujarat at the end of the year. At present, there is a BJP government in the state.
Talking to reporters in Rajkot, Sharma said, “We are identifying local troubles… We will issue assembly-wise and district-wise chargesheets against the BJP government… Through our election manifesto, we will give assurance to the people of Gujarat.” That if Congress government comes, how will we deal with those problems.
Sharma had reached Rajkot to attend the district level contemplation camp. AICC Secretary Ramkishan Ojha was also present in this program. Ojha is also in charge of Gujarat. Former Leader of Opposition in Gujarat Assembly Paresh Dhanani and local Congress MLAs and party leaders were also present.
Sharma said, “There is a severe shortage of drinking water here. The condition of roads in Rajkot district is bad. He raises slogans of Swachh Bharat all over the country and talks about building toilets. But people here do not even have water to drink. He said that the water of the drain was flowing into the rivers of the villages.
During this, Sharma mentioned the release of chemicals in the local rivers from the dyeing and printing units located in Jetpura taluka of Rajkot. “Wherever there is GIDC, farmers’ land is getting spoiled. Rivers are also getting worse. We are not against industries… but the government should ensure that when factories are set up, arrangements are made to deal with waste as well.
