Gwalior Anti Mafia Campaign: Gwalior, Naiduniya Representative. The district administration, which has repeatedly claimed action against the big mafia in the anti-mafia campaign, has now given instructions to prepare a list of big mafia in a week. This time Collector Kaushlendra Vikram Singh has asked the officials to make a list in seven days and take action. In the two months of January and February, a total of 69 illegal constructions were removed, but the reality is that there was not a single big mafia in them.
From the divisional commissioner to the collector, the officers may repeatedly make claims of measuring the big mafia in the meetings, but no one name could be brought to the fore so far. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan himself has instructions to take action against the mafia, then this is the situation. In a meeting held in the Collectorate’s auditorium on Monday, the Collector has instructed to take action by listing the mafia involved in illegal activities like land mafia, mining mafia, adulteration and chit fund. It was informed in the meeting that during the month of January and February, 69 illegal constructions were demolished and 60 acres of valuable land has been freed from the possession of land mafia under the anti-mafia campaign. An FIR has also been lodged at the police station against seven land mafia who dared to encroach on government land. In the same period, 50 cases of illegal mining were made and FIRs have been lodged against nine people doing illegal mining. Apart from this, cases have been registered with the police against two people who disturbed the public distribution system.
Verify the grantee NGOs, know the status: Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh also instructed in the meeting that the NGOs (Voluntary Organizations) who receive grants from the government should verify them. Also find out how government funds have been used by them. Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh stressed in the meeting that this year, the farmers being registered for wheat procurement on support price and the wheat crop sown should be physically verified from now so that only eligible farmers get the benefit of procurement. He also directed to register the remaining eligible farmers at the earliest.
