Bhopal. The special meeting of Chief Minister Digvijay Singh has fallen on the jail superintendent before the prisoner of Gwalior Central Jail. The former Chief Minister had met the undertrial prisoner Shivraj Singh in the jail superintendent’s room. The video and pictures of this meeting also went viral on social media.
Former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh was on his stay in Gwalior on Monday, during which he reached the Central Jail and met the undertrial prisoner Shivraj Singh in the jail superintendent’s room. Shivraj Singh is the leader of Indian National Student Organization and is currently lodged in Gwalior Jail.
The jail department has taken seriously the matter of meeting the undertrial prisoner Shivraj Singh with former Chief Minister Singh and other Congress leaders in the jail superintendent’s room. Ajay Nathaniel, Under Secretary, Jail Department, has issued an order suspending Superintendent Manoj Kumar Sahu and posted him at the Jail Headquarters in Bhopal.
It has been said in the suspension order that a special meeting of the undertrial prisoner was organized against the jail rules in the office of the Jail Superintendent, Gwalior. Pictures of the meeting, which took place contrary to the provisions of the Madhya Pradesh Jail Manual, went viral on social media. This act is contrary to the rules of Madhya Pradesh Jail Rules and serious misconduct under the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services Rules. Therefore Manoj Kumar Sahu is suspended with immediate effect due to serious misconduct of negligence, apathy towards his duties.
