In fact, the Railways has staked its claim on 29 acres of land in Haldwani. Railway says that this land belongs to it. On which these people are sitting illegally, while the people living on this land say that we have been living here for many generations. Some people have also claimed to have lived here before independence. There are other social facilities including school, college and hospital on the land, but the Railways have termed this land as their own and termed the people living here as encroachers. On which a hearing was held in the Uttarakhand High Court in the past. The court, after ruling in favor of the Railways, ordered the people to vacate the land within just seven days. On behalf of the government, an order was given to the people to vacate the land by beating them. On the other hand, people approached the Supreme Court against the decision of the High Court. On which the hearing was held today i.e. on Thursday.

It has stressed the need for resettlement and acknowledged that many people had bought land in 1947. Even before this, Owaisi has shared his opinion on this issue. Now in such a situation, what direction will this whole matter take in the coming days. Everyone’s eyes will be fixed on this.
