New Delhi. According to the information given by the Union Culture Ministry on social media, under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, more than 50 million selfies with the tricolor have been uploaded on its website so far. Appreciating the effort, the ministry has described it as a “great achievement”. At the same time, a grand ceremony was organized by the Central Government at the Red Fort in Delhi as part of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on the 76th Independence Day. On this occasion, Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a speech, in which he also shared the roadmap for the next 25 years and he also called it ‘Amrit Kaal’. It is worth noting that on July 22, Prime Minister Modi had called upon all the countrymen to join the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ movement by hoisting the national flag in their homes, along with the Ministry of Culture, the nodal agency of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, called upon the citizens of the country. He also appealed to the people to upload selfies or their photographs with ‘Tiranga’ on the website of this campaign.
A special website www.harghartirang.com has been created for uploading photos with the national flag under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’, with the aim of promoting patriotic fervor. Expressing happiness over this great achievement, Union Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy said, “The five crore tricolor selfies show the collective commitment of Indians towards Nation First and Always First. The aim of this campaign was to promote patriotism in the heart of every citizen of the country. Let us tell you, ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign ran from 13 to 15 August (3 days), under which a target was set to hoist the national flag in more than 25 crore homes across the country. To make this campaign successful, the central government had arranged for the production of three types of flags. Provided by Tricolor Post Offices.
