Chandigarh. Haryana’s first hi-tech bus terminal to be built on PPP mode in Faridabad will be ready in September. A commercial hub will also be built in this bus stand. This information was given in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal to review projects worth Rs 100 crore.
The Chief Secretary was apprised that arrangements for toilets, waiting rooms, canteen, toilets etc. would also be made for the officers, drivers and operators at this four-acre bus stand being built in NIT Faridabad.
Lift facility will also be provided along with stairs.
Kaushal directed the officers to prepare Project Appraisal and Review Technique (PERT) charts for all the ongoing projects, so that the timelines and completion percentage are clear.
Along with this, the contractors or agencies working on the work should also be instructed to complete the works of the projects within the stipulated time period.
The Chief Secretary said that ensuring holistic development of Haryana is the top priority of the Government and officers should ensure time bound implementation of the projects so that citizens can get benefited from these welfare projects.
It was informed in the meeting that the apple, fruit and vegetable market being built at Pinjore at a cost of Rs 140 crore is likely to be completed by 2023. The work of building sheds for various produce and retail farmers will be completed in five months.
Other processes related to this project will also be completed as far as possible. Apart from this, the work of International Horticulture Market, Ganaur is also being done rapidly.
The Chief Secretary was apprised that the work of 10,000 feet runway at the airport being built in Hisar under Integrated Aviation Hub would be completed by July. Simultaneously, under the second phase, the work of operational building, maintenance, repair and overhauling and cargo handling is also going on at a brisk pace.
