Health Tips for Dry Cough: With the changing of the weather, the period of cold and cough has also started. In fact, due to the large difference in day and night temperature, the problem of cold and cough usually occurs. Apart from this, eating cold things in this season also causes cough problem. See a doctor if you have more problems, but if you have a mild cough and trouble sleeping at night, you can treat it at home. Actually, there are many such household things in your house, using which cough can be removed.
According to Ayurveda, cough is caused due to imbalance of Vata, Pitta, Kapha. Due to unhealthy diet and lifestyle, Vata and Kapha doshas start occurring in the body, due to which cough starts. Cough is mainly due to Kapha dosha. By the way, cough can also be caused due to dust, allergy, virus etc. Generally, dry cough does not produce mucus and wet cough produces mucus, which is actually produced to clean the lungs. Dry cough is more troublesome in this season. Sometimes, due to cough, one cannot sleep for the whole night. In such a situation, you can try these home remedies to remove cough.
Basil
Tulsi is very beneficial in cough. Boil its leaves in water and drink it as a decoction. But not more than two-three times in a day. Mixing ginger juice with the juice of basil leaves and eating it with honey is also beneficial immediately.
Ginger
Ginger is considered a panacea for cough in Ayurveda. Licking one spoon ginger juice mixed with honey provides relief from cough. Another remedy is to boil ginger well in water and when the decoction is ready, then mix two spoons of honey and drink it. If there is no honey, then take a small piece of ginger, sprinkle a pinch of salt on it and press it under the teeth. Let the ginger juice slowly go inside the mouth and keep it for 5-7 minutes.
Black pepper
If there is a wet cough, then the consumption of black pepper is beneficial. Black pepper helps in expelling mucus and also opens up blocked nose. Lick its powder by mixing it with honey, or add it to tea and consume it.
Muleti
Licorice powder reduces inflammation in the respiratory tract and loosens mucus. It is more effective in wet cough. Boil two tablespoons of liquorice powder in 2-3 glasses of water, and steam it for 10-15 minutes. If the throat is dry, then keep a small piece of liquorice in the mouth, it will not cause sore throat.
Ficus religiosa
Peepal is also very beneficial in cough. Grind its lump well and mix one spoon of honey in it and consume it. Consuming it two-three times daily, you will get rid of cough in a few days.
