Administrative or financial permission for the work done in the last five years has not been taken from the Municipal Corporation Mayor, Mayor-in-Council or the General Assembly.
In response to this petition on behalf of the Central Government, it was considered that these two companies can carry out only those works which the Municipal Corporation allows. Also, the board of directors of these companies should have equal representatives from the state government and the municipal corporation. At present, there is no representative of the Municipal Corporation in the 12-member board of directors of these two companies except the Municipal Commissioner. On the contrary, the smart city companies are being argued for their jurisdiction to work independently.
