new Delhi. Some unidentified persons pasted a poster outside the US Embassy in the national capital following which Delhi Police registered a case against unidentified persons. An official gave this information on Saturday.
The poster read, “Incredible Biden administration, stop threatening India, we don’t need you. America needs India against China. We are proud of all our disciplined and brave Indian forces. Jai Jawan Jai Bharat.” “
Deputy Commissioner of Police Amrita Guguloth said that we got information about the said incident at around 10.15 pm on Friday night. Following which the police registered an FIR under Section 3 (penalty for defacement of property) of the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act.
According to section 3 of the DPDP Act, whoever, by writing or marking any property in public with ink, chalk, paint or any other material, defaces for the purpose of indicating the name and address of the owner or occupier of any property shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to one year, or with fine which may extend to fifty thousand rupees, or with both.
The DCP further informed that technical surveillance is being done to nab the culprit.
The Hindu Sena logo was on the poster on the sign board near Gate No 7 of the US Embassy. The organization also confirmed this via Twitter.
Hindu Sena national president Vishnu Gupta tweeted two posters, one of which was pasted outside the US embassy, while the other urged Indian Americans to stop supporting ‘democratic wars’.
