Janjgir-Champa (Naiduniya News). Chhattisgarh Power Mazdoor Sangh (HMS) took out a bike rally on Monday and submitted a memorandum demanding wage revision. He warned that if the wage revision is not done soon, then the workers will be forced to agitate. The union asked the management to come out with meaningful results within 15 days.
There is displeasure among the workers that the factory management never makes any settlement in a peaceful manner, every time some dispute is made. Last time in September 2019, after a consensus was reached regarding the minimum pay scale of 17 thousand, the management had retracted from the consensus citing a dispute between regular and contract workers. This time union workers reached the collectorate in large numbers, in which contract and regular workers were together and talked about fighting for their rights and rights with the same organization. HMS Union President Vishwanath Prasad Sahu said that the union has been formed to protect the rights of all and we are committed to protect the rights of all workers, the interests of contract and regular workers will be protected. Acting President Sher Singh Rai said that we are all laborers, the workers understand each other’s problems. We are all one and will continue to be one. General Secretary Balram Goswami said that rising inflation is breaking the back of the workers, from routine items to school hospital, travel fare, petrol and diesel prices have increased so much that now it is difficult to run a family without wage revision. Therefore, he urged the management that, respecting the sentiments of the workers, a settlement meeting should be held soon after making coordination. A large number of workers including Moolchand Norge, Lobhan Sahu, Jageshar Yadav, Bhim Rathore, Pradeep Sahu, Krishna Nirmalkar, Ashok Rathore, Satish Burman, Raghuraj Nirmalkar, Rohit Sahu, Suraj Sahu, Dinesh Nirmalkar were present in the movement.
Stopped from going to the collectorate, but the trade union remained adamant
Due to the large number of laborers, the district administration stopped the bike rally near the high school ground as a precaution and asked to submit a memorandum there, but the union leaders refused. Due to which the traffic on the road was affected. Finally he was allowed to go to the collector’s office. Union officials submitted a memorandum to Additional Collector Bhaskar Singh Markam and SP Abhishek Pallav and demanded a settlement meeting soon so that industrial peace remains in the factory.
