Hockey training center will be set up under the Khelo India scheme of the Government of India. For this, a training center will be started at the International Stadium. There technical training can be given to the players through SAI. The 50-seat academy will also have residential facilities. Sai has given approval for this.
For many years, sports enthusiasts were demanding to open a hockey academy. Now the much awaited demand is going to be fulfilled. The city already houses the state’s first International Hockey Stadium. But due to the lack of technical training, the talent of the players was not flourishing. Now the opening of the training center will help in preparing the budding players here in a better way. It is noteworthy that three international hockey players have left from here. International player Mrinal Choubey is serving in the CAG along with the game. Olympian Renuka Yadav is serving in Railways.
Firoz Ansari, president of the Chhattisgarh Hockey Association, said that efforts were being made for the hockey academy for a long time. The union was also trying for this. The Government of India has given approval. The opening of the academy will help in producing better players here.
Aastha will get self-reliant organization award in Vigyan Bhawan Delhi
Rajnandgaon (Naiduniya News). Women of the district, who are becoming financially strong by forming self-help groups, are going to get respect this time again. On March 8, on International Women’s Day, Aastha Sankul organization of village Sonesarar with about five thousand members will be honored with the Self-Reliant Organization Award at Vigyan Bhawan, Delhi. The women of this self-help group have made their mark at the national level through economic activities by joining the Gothans. Women of self-help groups are achieving success by taking steps towards livelihood.
About five thousand women members in the organization
After the formation of Aastha Sankul organization, 23 village organizations and 443 self-help groups are associated in 17 gram panchayats under the area. In which total 4842 rural women members are included. Aastha Sankul organization has stepped towards livelihood through food, nutrition, health and cleanliness. In this direction, Aastha Sankul organization inspired vegetable production in 2300 families by doing kitchen gardens. In which 605 families have been provided with advanced vegetable seeds at a rate less than the market price.
Under the cluster area, more than 6500 quintals of different vegetables like tomato, ladyfinger, bhata, bitter gourd, gourd, cabbage etc. were produced organically by 2300 families in their own kitchen garden. The vegetables produced from this activity were not only used for household consumption, but also provided to adolescent girls, pregnant women, newlyweds and children below two years of age for nutritional support.
