However, after mixing with chemicals, these colors become poison and when applied to our body, they cause great harm to us.

What harm do these chemicals do?
– Lead oxide, copper sulphate, mercury sulphide etc. are such chemicals which can also cross the placenta. These cause harm to pregnant women and their newborn children.
– There may be red rashes or burn marks on the skin i.e. dermatitis.
– Causes irritation and wounds in the eyes. Eyes turn red.
– These chemicals are carcinogenic and very harmful for the skin.

If these names are mentioned in the packet then do not buy those colours. Try to buy only herbal gulal of good quality or brand. However, read their packets too.
