While trying to overtake a private bus on the Ayodhya-Gorakhpur National Highway, it overturned uncontrollably. Three people on the bus died in this accident. While more than 30 passengers are injured. The incident is said to have happened around 7:30 am on Tuesday. According to the information, the passengers on the bus were going from Delhi to Basti and Siddharth Nagar.
The accident took place on the national highway near Mumtaz Nagar under Cantt police station area in Ayodhya. Three people have been confirmed dead in the accident. While more than 30 passengers are injured. Out of these, about 12 people have been admitted to the district hospital. While other passengers have been discharged after undergoing initial treatment. Two of the dead could not be identified. While one has been identified as Ramesh, 35 years resident of Siddharthnagar. Efforts are on to identify the other two deceased. The seriously injured include Pancham Rai, Praveen Kumar, Anshika, Rishi Gupta, Rishabh Tripathi, Anita, Tara Devi, Om Kumar and Bisu. As soon as the information about the incident was received, District Magistrate Nitish Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey inspected the spot and the district hospital. He directed the officials of the Health Department to make arrangements for better treatment.
