The Independent Levada Center says more than 80 percent of Russians said they support the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This is the first survey from Levada since Moscow sent troops to Ukraine on 24 February.
The poll said that 83 percent of Russians approved of Putin’s actions. However, by early February, Putin’s popularity was above 71 percent before the war. Levada said 15 percent did not appreciate Putin’s actions. Whereas two per cent people did not give their opinion. Levada’s polls have shown that the Russian government and its prime minister, Mikhail Mishustin, have also improved their popularity.
