WhatsApp launched its much-awaited Multi-Device feature last year. With this feature, the Facebook-owned instant messaging app can be used simultaneously on different devices. That is, users can run the same account in their phone, tablet, laptop or desktop. The special thing is that to run the same WhatsApp account in multiple devices simultaneously, it is not necessary to have internet in the primary phone.
Now it is easy for WhatsApp users to sync account with phone desktop or any other device. Today we will tell you how you can use WhatsApp Multi-device feature. Learn step-by-step method…
Step 1
First of all, open WhatsApp and then click on the three dots i.e. menu shown at the top. Tap on the Linked Devices option appearing in it.
Step 2
After that unlock your phone. If your phone has biometric authentication then use face unlock or fingerprint sensor. If biometric is not enabled then you will be asked to enter the PIN to unlock the phone.
Step 3
Now point your phone on the screen of that device and scan the QR code.
Step 4
After this your WhatsApp messages will be synced on your other devices. After this, if you want, you can also disconnect your primary device like phone from the Internet.
Similarly, after linking, you can run one WhatsApp account on 4 different devices and phones simultaneously.
essentials
WhatsApp says that users’ private messages, media and calls are end-to-end encrypted. Each linked device connects to WhatsApp separately and all have the same level of privacy and security through end-to-end encryption.
things to note
Your phone does not require an internet connection to use WhatsApp on the linked device. But if you don’t use your phone for 14 days then the account will be logged out from all linked devices.
You will then need to register your WhatsApp account on your phone and link the new device again.
