China’s smartphone maker Huawei is now ready to make a splash in the vehicle industry after making a lofty flag in the industry of electronic devices. The company has launched its new AIOT M5 plug-in hybrid SUV in the Chinese market. This SUV has gained a lot of popularity as soon as it comes in the market, according to media reports, the company has booked more than 6,000 units of it.
This hybrid SUV is capable of running on both fuel and electric. AIOT M5 is the first luxury smart electric SUV jointly developed by Huawei with another Chinese brand, which comes with the Chinese tech giant HarmonyOS operating system. The system, which will serve as an alternative to Android and Windows for Huawei, can be connected to a variety of Internet of Things devices and gadgets with the smart car.

This hybrid SUV of Huawei is 4.77 meters long and has a wheelbase of 2.88 meters. The design seems to be largely inspired by the Porsche Macan, with many elements matching the car. The company has given a spacious interior in this SUV, it has a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system which is equipped with Huawei Harmony operating system.
Features like split-screen, 3D face recognition, automatic ID login have been provided in this. The SUV also gets an instrument cluster with a 10.4-inch digital display, the company has also given a camera on the left pillar of its windshield, which helps the driver to stay alert at all times while driving.
Powertrain and Range:
As we told you that this is a hybrid SUV that runs on both fuel and electric. The company has included two electric motors in it, depending on which version the customer opts for. Its rear wheel drive version generates power of 204hp, while the four wheel drive version alone gives power of 224hp. In this way a total power output of 428hp is available.
The company has used a 1.5-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine in this SUV, which generates power of 125hp. Apart from this, it also acts as a generator which powers and charges the battery with a capacity of 40 kWh. The company claims that this SUV gives a maximum driving range of up to 1,195 km. In the case of pick-up too, this SUV is superb, it is capable of catching 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.4 seconds.

Coming with 20-inch aluminum wheels, Huawei is offering this SUV in a total of 6 exterior colors which include Ceramic White, Pine Frost Green, Ice Crystal Grey, Gilt Black, Mihai Blue and Azure Blue.
