Ashwini Vaishnav is taking a tough stand on complaints of corruption and negligence. After taking action against about 40 officers and employees in the Railways, they have started action in the Department of Telecom as well. He has sent 10 officers here on voluntary retirement.
Let us tell you that Ashwini Vaishnav is continuously taking action one after the other on corrupt officials. Under this, he has forcibly sent 10 senior officers of the Telecom Department on retirement. According to sources, this has been done due to the suspicion of all these officers being involved in corruption. The government has discharged these officers using the powers vested in different laws.

After this decision of Ashwini Vaishnav, an official source said that on receiving complaints of corruption and negligence, Ashwini Vaishnav forcibly retired 10 senior officials of the Department of Telecom, including a Joint Secretary. Out of these officers, 9 officers were working at director level. According to the information, the government has shown the way out to these officers using the powers given in Section 56 (J) of Pension Rule 48 of the CCS (Pension) Rules, 1972.
This is not the first time that Communications Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has taken such a decision, but in the past too he has taken such action in Railways. The Narendra Modi government celebrates the birthday of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee as Good Governance Day. In the Railway Department too, about 40 officers were sent on forced retirement due to their dismal performance and questionable antics.
